sunny afternoon- Well well i finally did it! I guess you guys will wonder what I want to brag about this time. And i want to say I've finally donated blood for the VERY FIRST TIME ! I've been hesitated for 5 semesters whether to donate or not as I worry I'll gained weight after that ! Which makes me selfishly consider for such a long time. Anyway,I'm happy and a little disappointed at the same time. I'm happy because I'm finally doing it and a little disappointed since is only 180ml ! I think that's the amount after taking out some for samples purpose. The target according to my weight was 350ml though. The nurse can't help much since she said my blood flow is slow and not willing to flow out. I was giggling there when I heard what she said. Since my blood flow was slow, I actually need 3 nurses to help me in the whole process. One need to keep pumping 'the thing' which will squeeze my arm hard enough to create pressures while another one is holding the packet where my blood is flowing into it to make sure whether the blood is entering or otherwise. The third nurse is tapping my arteries and adjusting the hose to see which position is the easiest for my blood to flow out. She even turned the 'blue thingy' to adjust the flow which made me feel the needle is turning here and there ! *scary* Anyway when the nurse asked 'Is this your first time' ? I replied 'Yeah' and she said no wonder maybe I haven't get used to it. And I felt a bit relieved since I thought is abnormal to have a slow blood flow.
After getting about half of the packet the nurses finally stopped everything and said it was enough and not to force the blood to flow out since it may cause my arm to become swollen. She asked me to rest a while and pressed the cotton firmly where they poked the needle in. While resting, the nurse told me my blood will expired pretty early as in 14 days since the amount of my blood is not enough to merge with the contents inside the packet which cause it to be imbalance. But she did said no worries we'll use it before it gets expired. Well after getting enough of rest, the nurse walk over with a plaster and a cream thingy. After she had placed the plaster, she applied the cream thingy too as my arm already started to swell. My arm felt numb for quite a while though. I asked my classmate, Yew Hong to take some pictures for memory sake. *grins*

P/s: Come on everyone, overcome your fear and help people by donating your blood.
